Young @ Heart ROAD TO NOWHERE staged by No Theater at the Lyric Hammersmith

The TMA Theatre Awards were established in 1990 to celebrate outstanding achievement in theatre across the UK.  Presented annually by the Theatrical Management Association, they are the only nation-wide awards for theatre, opera and dance with over 175 theatres taking part in the scheme.

The Theatrical Management Association is a trade association that represents over 300 member organisations involved in the creation, presentation and management of professional theatre, opera and dance in the UK.

This year TMA Theatre Awards have been reorganised in terms of categories and the new TMA Management Awards have been initiated.  Both Awards provide an opportunity for theatre companies and venues to champion the skills and expertise of those working within their organisations and to promote the success of their businesses.

First awarded in 1991, the TMA Theatre Awards champion the outstanding work of individuals, creative teams and productions performed in regional theatres each year.  This year the categories have been reorganised to include Best Performance and Best Supporting Performance in a Play, Best Design and Best Musical Production.

By highlighting the very best of current practice within venue programming, marketing and customer services the    TMA Management Awards aim to advertise the highest standards of professional expertise which are the mark of the performing arts industry in the UK. The TMA Management Awards were  presented at the Cadogan Hall,London on November 8th 2006.

The TMA Theatre and Management Awards are a celebration of the strength, excellence and diversity of artistic activity as well as the high standard of professional, specialist work which contributes to the success of the performing arts throughout the UK.
